Production Hall Infrastructure
Led the IT and network architecture, technical specification and delivery coordination for large production-hall environments — not the physical construction work.
Context
Large production / industrial halls required backbone infrastructure across long runs, with production and administrative zones and room to expand.
Challenge
- Long cable runs and a robust backbone across a large footprint.
- Separate production and administrative network zones.
- Future expandability designed in from the start.
- Coordination across multiple trades and suppliers.
My role
IT and network architect — responsible for architecture, technical specification and delivery coordination rather than physical construction work.

- A main technology room feeding a structured backbone across the halls.
- A distribution layer reaching production and administration zones.
- Rack topology and port capacity planned for current and future needs.
- Wi-Fi and monitoring integrated into the overall design.

Requirements
Operational needs and constraints captured.
- 02
Floor plans
Architecture mapped onto the building.
- 03
Specification
Backbone, racks and ports specified.
- 04
Selection
Technology selected to the specification.
- 05
Coordination
Suppliers and trades coordinated.
- 06
Oversight
Implementation overseen and documented.
Implementation
- Architecture and technical specification produced from floor plans.
- Technology selected and suppliers coordinated against the specification.
- Implementation overseen for conformance to the design.
- As-built documentation prepared for operations.
Documentation & handover
Operational and project documentation were prepared as part of delivery, with handover and acceptance support included where in scope — so the environment can be operated, audited and improved after go-live.
Client names and selected implementation details are intentionally anonymized.
Outcome
A documented, expandable production-network architecture delivered through coordinated suppliers and implementation oversight.
